High-voltage switchgear, as a vital piece of equipment in the power system, plays a crucial role in controlling, protecting, and distributing electrical energy. Daily care is essential to ensure its safe and stable operation.

First, visual inspection is the foundation of daily care. Regularly inspect the switchgear body for deformation or damage, and ensure that the doors close and seal properly. Also, check the paint coating on the body for peeling or rust. If any, address it promptly to prevent further corrosion.

Second, inspection of electrical connections is crucial. Check busbars and cable connectors for signs of discoloration or oxidation due to overheating, and ensure that connecting bolts are securely tightened. Looseness or oxidation can increase contact resistance, leading to overheating and even short-circuit failures. Use an infrared thermometer to regularly monitor the temperature of connection points to detect any abnormalities.

Finally, insulation performance inspection is crucial. Inspect insulating components such as insulators and bushings for damage, cracks, and discharge marks. Regular insulation resistance testing ensures proper insulation performance and prevents safety incidents caused by poor insulation.

Furthermore, operating mechanism maintenance is crucial. Check for smooth movement, any sticking, and correct opening and closing indications. Lubricate and adjust the operating mechanism regularly to ensure reliable operation.

Finally, proper cleaning is crucial. Regularly remove dust and debris from inside and outside the switchgear to keep the equipment clean and prevent dust accumulation that could affect heat dissipation and insulation performance.

Through these comprehensive and meticulous daily maintenance measures, you can effectively extend the service life of high-voltage switchgear and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power system.
