As the core control unit of an electrical system, the stable operation of a distribution box is directly related to the overall electrical safety. Scientific maintenance is the key to extending the service life of equipment and avoiding potential safety hazards. Maintenance work shall follow the principles of regular inspection, on-demand maintenance, and full compliance, covering three major sections: daily patrol inspection, regular in-depth maintenance, and emergency fault handling.
Daily patrol inspection shall be carried out on a daily basis, focusing on checking whether the box body has damage, deformation, or corrosion, and whether the door lock is intact, so as to prevent dust, moisture, and sundries from entering. Meanwhile, observe whether the indicators and meter values inside the box are normal, and whether there are abnormal phenomena such as overheating, abnormal noise, or peculiar smell of components. If any problem is found, cut off the power supply and mark it immediately to prevent the expansion of faults. For the wiring part, check whether the wiring terminals are loose and whether the cable insulation layer is aged or cracked, so as to ensure that the live wire, neutral wire, and ground wire are firmly connected with clear and legible marks.
Regular in-depth maintenance is recommended to be conducted quarterly. After power cut, thoroughly clean the dust and sundries inside the box, wipe the surface of components with a dry cloth, and it is strictly prohibited to use water or corrosive cleaning agents. Conduct on-off tests on key components such as circuit breakers and relays, check whether the insulation resistance value meets the standard and whether the grounding device is reliable, and replace aged or damaged components in a timely manner. In addition, verify the maintenance records and equipment parameters, update the nameplate information to ensure traceability.
During fault handling, strictly perform power-off operations and hang warning signs. Troubleshoot the root cause of the fault before carrying out maintenance, and live-line work is strictly prohibited. After maintenance, re-test the electrical performance and resume power supply only after confirming that there are no potential hazards. The entire process shall comply with electrical safety specifications. Operators must hold valid certificates to work and complete maintenance records to ensure the long-term stable operation of the distribution box.
